Next Meeting: Spring Social & Fundraiser!
May 15, 2010 • Noon
Bethlehem Baptist Church (MAP)
Moundsview, MN

Come one, Come All! Be a part of the raffle, taste test various dairy-free foods and enjoy live music! We are raising funds to help offset costs of the National Galactosemic Conference coming to Minneapolis this summer. We are asking each family to create a themed basket ranging between $25-40 or donate items (such as sporting event tickets, etc.) Please send a description of your basket or item, along with a photo to Barb Bense, by Monday, March 15, or if you have questions you can also contact Barb. An online list will be created and updated so you can see what you may win! We could use everyone's help selling tickets to your friends and family prior to May 15th and tickets may also be purchased from Noon - 2:00 on May 15th. You do not need to be present to win.

COOKBOOKS!
We have put together a cookbook with dairy-free recipes that has delicious dishes that we love. It rose out of necessity for not only our group to share ideas, but for family and friends who may feed our galactosemic children. It lists ingredients to watch for in labels and has lots of tasty treats as well. They are available for $10 plus shipping. Contact us if you're interested in purchasing one or more!

ABC BOOKS!
Many of our kids created an ABC Book of foods they like to eat that are dairy-free as a fundraiser. If you would like to purchase one, contact Barb Bense and she'll get one sent off to you!

Wear your GALACTOSEMIA awareness
Parents of Galactosemic Children is proud to announce that we now have awareness bracelets available.  We are trying to promote Galactosemia awareness by wearing our name on our wrists.  The silicone bracelets are royal blue, priced at $2.00 each and come in both child and adult sizes.  Each bracelet is embossed with "GALACTOSEMIA www.galactosemia.org".
Many organizations are using these same type bracelets to promote their different cause.  Your participation in helping promote Galactosemia would be greatly appreciated.  Proceeds will go directly to Parents of Galactosemic Children, Inc. in an effort to help raise money for our next conference. If you would like more information on purchasing the bracelets either singly or in bulk, please contact Michelle Fowler
